About Vernon Fenner

I’m Vernon Fenner, the founder of Flowtrack.

I’ve spent over three decades working inside construction, engineering, mining, utilities, and industrial environments not as a theorist, but as someone accountable for delivery, budgets, contracts, and outcomes.

My career started on site, progressed through construction management, and eventually into full life-cycle project management on complex, multi-disciplinary projects. Over the years, I’ve managed everything from small civil works to large capital projects valued in the hundreds of millions, operating under FIDIC, NEC, JBCC, and GCC contracts

What shaped Flowtrack wasn’t ambition it was frustration.

I repeatedly saw good engineers, contractors, and consultants struggle not because they lacked technical skill, but because:

  • Scopes were unclear or poorly written
  • Projects started without proper governance or structure
  • Contracts were misunderstood or poorly administered
  • Financial control was reactive instead of planned
  • Documentation was treated as an afterthought

The result was always the same: stress, disputes, lost margins, and damaged trust. Flowtrack exists to fix that.

Why I Built Flowtrack

I’ve worked inside refineries, power stations, water treatment plants, mines, and large infrastructure projects. I’ve been responsible for preparing CAPEX submissions, writing scopes of work, evaluating tenders, managing contractors, administering contracts, approving payments, and handing projects over to operations.

That experience gave me a clear view of where projects go wrong and more importantly, how to prevent those failures before they happen.

Flowtrack provides structured, practical project support for engineering consultants and contractors who want to operate professionally, protect their margins, and deliver with confidence.

This isn’t generic consulting. It’s real-world project administration, done properly.

What I Help Client Solve

Most of the clients I work with come to me when they’re experiencing one or more of the following:

  1. Projects starting without a clear, defensible Scope of Work
  2. Tenders and RFQs that don’t protect commercial or technical risk
  3. Poor document control and governance leading to confusion and rework
  4. Cash flow pressure due to weak financial planning or claims processes
  5. Contract disputes caused by vague obligations or missed procedures
  6. Good technical teams drowning in admin instead of delivering work

Flowtrack provides structured project support from early planning through execution and close-out.

How I Work

I don’t sell theory.

I provide:

  1. Clear documentation
  2. Practical project governance frameworks
  3. Financial and commercial clarity
  4. Contract-aware administration and controls
  5. Documentation that stands up

Everything is built to be used on live projects, not to sit in a folder. Because I’ve been accountable for delivery myself, I design systems that work under pressure on site, in meetings, and when things don’t go to plan.

Why Clients Trust Flowtrack

Clients trust Flowtrack because I understand the consequences of getting it wrong.

I’ve prepared and signed off CAPEX.
I’ve managed budgets.
I’ve dealt with claims, disputes, audits, and project failures.
And I’ve delivered projects end-to-end from concept through commissioning and handover.

That perspective shapes everything Flowtrack produces.

If something wouldn’t hold up in a real project environment, it doesn’t get delivered.

Who Flowtrack Is For

Flowtrack works best with:

  1. Engineering consultants who want professional, defensible documentation
  2. Contractors who want structure, control, and margin protection
  3. Small to mid-sized firms who don’t need a full-time PM but need expert support

If you’re serious about running projects properly, Flowtrack is built for you.
